My mom and dad have a little Yorkie dog. She got hit by a car last night. There were no broken bones, but she took a bad hit to her head. Both eyes are damaged and last night did not respond at all to light. One eye has shown a small reaction to light today... when mom went to see her today, she was able to stand up and licked her hand, so at least she was able to recognize her.

The vet was hopeful because there didn't appear to be any internal organ damage. The extent of neurological damage (i.e., whether she'll see again) isn't known yet.

So that's the drama in my life today.
